‘Shipping Wars’ is a popular new weekly half-hour television series airing Tuesday nights on the A&E cable network.
The program tracks the fortunes – and misfortunes – of six independent shippers who endeavor to transport freight and other unconventional items that mainstream carriers – such as Federal Express and UPS – can’t handle.
Although not featured on the A&E program, a privately held Golden-based company, Craters & Freighters Global Logistics, has been the real victor in the custom packaging, crating and shipping industry since 1990.
Founded and still led by Diane Gibson, a dynamic and savvy CEO, Craters & Freighters has grown to be the leading provider of specialty shipping services in the United States, with 67 locations nationwide. The company engineers and builds customized containers and provides door-to-door, turnkey shipping solutions for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and high-technology manufacturers, to exclusive art and antiques galleries and individual consumers.
