Having just completed the transaction with the new owner of our 68th franchise location and seeing his enthusiasm for being in business for himself, I started thinking about the last 20 franchises we plan to open in our network. Like so many other things in life, it’s often all about timing.

We’ve just completed two quarters of terrific growth – 22% over 2010. We’ve seen manufacturing growing again and needing our unique services of building crates and shipping their products. We’ve also seen an increase in demand for international shipping and building custom crates that meet international specifications. At the same time I’ve been reading that many economy experts are seeing this time as a re-birth in American manufacturing and exports.

So anyone who has an opportunity to jump on this bus it seems to me would be smart to do so. That’s why I’m excited about this time for our business. We have a unique niche that manufacturers rely on and 21 years of experience as a company with expertise in custom crating, packing, and shipping of just about anything that’s legal to just about anywhere in the world.

It’s been a few years since we have even thought about building out our network. Selling franchises isn’t my objective. Helping people succeed in going into business for themselves is what energizes me, which means the market opportunity has to be there. Today I feel it is so we’re actively looking to build out the rest of our network.

I think the time is right to own a Craters & Freighters franchise.
